Today I would be reviewing about Sugar cosmetics, Eye Told You So eyeliner. I love beautifying my eyes with a good kohl pencil or eyeliner, they make my eyes powerful and beautiful. As I am always in a rush I like a hassle free eyeliner that is easy and quick to apply. With so many stunning products in the market, I got my hands on the famous Sugar cosmetics brand which has hit the Indian market quite well. I heard a lot about this brand, especially their crayon lipsticks (on my wishlist) so I decided to try the Sugar cosmetics eyeliner.
According to me, an eyeliner should be long-lasting, easy to apply and definitely shouldn’t strip off. Also, I love jet black, blue shades that define my eyes beautifully. So with this in my mind, I got my hands on the eyeliner. Let’s find out if the brand was a yay or nay for me.
Miss highlighting your eyes when you’re running short on time? This new eyeliner from SUGAR makes application a breeze and defines your eyes like no other! Specially-designed in an easy-to-apply pen format, the Eye Told You So! Gives you a gorgeous silky-matte finish that just does not smudge, budge or peel off. It stays on your lids for 24 hours straight without smearing and is absolute must-have for anyone looking to create some extra magic with their eyes!
When it comes to packing, the eyeliner gets 5 on 5 as I love the packaging. The liquid eyeliner comes in a printed box which looks girly, the eyeliner comes in a long, black, tube with a screw lid that prevents the liner from drying. It has a real long wand with a super thin applicator that is perfect for winged eyes and for those who are looking for the thin application. The sponge on the applicator is super soft and as the wand is long it makes the process easy (I am thankful for this). I feel beginners can definitely try this eyeliner and quickly learn how to apply eyeliner.
This is how it looked on me –
Coming to the shade, Sugar cosmetics have created only one shade 01 Black Swan and you all can guess the eyeliner comes in an intense black shade. It has a matte finish which is highly pigmented and just one stroke would intensify my eyes. Also, it dries out quickly (another best thing) which makes the whole process of applying makeup faster. So on those days when my eyes are super tired, baggy I use this eyeliner, which pops up my eyes.
The one issue that I face with this product is that it smudges and doesn’t stay long as claimed by the brand. I haven’t really tried for 24 hours, but within 4-5 hours the liner smudges, so it is not long lasting. Regarding waterproof, it does budge with when I swipe my wet fingers on the liner. But apart from this, I find the product fine for a short duration.
Price: INR 699 for 1.7 ml
1. Love the packaging.
2. Soft and smooth brush applicator
3. Easy to apply, especially for a winged eye.
4. Highly pigmented, has an intense black shade (love it)
5. It is matte finish which dries up quickly
1. It smudges after 4-5 hours
2. Not long lasting and waterproof.
FABB Rating: 3 of 5
I would recommend this for those who are looking for a deep jet black shade, however, there are many other brands which have long lasting power, so this would be a one time buy for me. However, I am still excited to try the Hell crayon lipstick.
